“The Henry D. Green Symposium has resulted in eight volumes of published scholarship so far and reached thousands interested in the material culture of our state and region. Support enables us to sustain our shared goals, educational values and mission for decades to come. Decorative arts initiatives lie at the heart of our educational mission, and both the symposium and the Henry D. Green Center for the Study of the Decorative Arts remain vital to the museum and our state.”
— Dale L. Couch, curator of decorative arts
Over the past two decades, the Georgia Museum of Art has seen great progress in the study of Georgia arts and material culture. Decorative arts initiatives lie at the heart of our educational mission, and both the symposium and the Henry D. Green Center for the Study of Decorative Arts remain vital to the museum and our state. The Henry D. Green Symposium for the Decorative Arts has resulted in volumes of published scholarship and reached thousands interested in the material culture of our state and region.
Sponsorship of the biennial symposium continues to sustain our shared goals, educational values and mission for many decades to come. We appreciate the individuals, corporations and foundations who are committed to our mission of teaching, research and service. Want to join them?
You can make a gift to support our work in decorative arts here any time.
