The museum’s library and study centers house valuable research materials including publications, artist files, auction catalogues and primary resource documents.
The Louis T. Griffith Library supports the professional work of the Georgia Museum of Art’s curators, registrars, educators and staff
, as well as that of university faculty and students. It is on the third floor of the museum and is open to the public Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and at other times by appointment. Please check in at the first-floor lobby desk when visiting the library.
The Georgia Museum of Art’s four Study Centers in the Humanities supplement the museum’s collection and promote hands-on research. They were made possible by a Challenge Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
