The University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art and School of Social Work (in partnership with Florida State University), are hosting the 10th Art and Education for Social Justice Symposium February 21 – 23, 2020. The interdisciplinary symposium will focus on how art and education promote social justice with the goals of including and amplifying voices that are often on the margins of academia and sharing the methodologies, practices and findings that have direct public impact. Activities and presentations will focus on the guiding question: How are art and education inspiring, affecting, and promoting social change? Sessions will be held at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, the Georgia Museum of Art (February 22) and local Athens venues.
